SHN operates a well-equipped materials testing laboratory, and is capable of performing a wide variety of soils, rock, concrete, and AC testing. We regularly monitor the quality control of our lab using internal statistical evaluations and are enrolled in nationally recognized reference sample programs. For specialized tests, and for the analytical needs of environmental projects (for example, water quality testing), we subcontract with other state-certified testing laboratories.

• Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development (OSHPD) approved construction materials laboratory with special inspection experience in hospital construction

• Enrolled in the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), Aggregate Materials Reference Laboratory (AMRL), Cement and Concrete Reference Laboratory (CCRL) and participates in the Proficiency Sample Programs
