Bruce Grove, a senior planner with over 20 years of experience coordinating multi-disciplinary, multi-agency planning and environmental projects, has joined our Redding office team.  Bruce also brings his relationships with local government and regulatory agency staff, and with other consulting planners, architects, and engineers.  In his brief time at SHN, Bruce has already opened several new opportunities for us, and has solidified relationships with some of our existing clients.

Before coming to SHN, Bruce worked 17 years with a large international consulting firm, and four years with a firm with offices across the US.  Bruce spent the first 10 years of his career in southern California managing California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) documents on a wide range of challenging land development and infrastructure projects for multiple agencies. In 2007 he transferred from Orange County to Sacramento to jump-start a northern California environmental services practice with a focus on business development and serving existing Central Valley and north state clients. Between December 2013 and January 2018, Bruce was the northern California Environmental Practice Leader for that firm’s Sacramento office leading a team of environmental professionals on a wide variety of projects in the Central Valley and foothills between Kern County and Siskiyou County.

Bruce does not miss the many commuting hours between Red Bluff and Sacramento that he endured for over 11 years.  He now has more time with his family that includes two school-aged children.  In his spare time, Bruce is an avid outdoorsman spending weekends camping, boating, hunting, and fishing with family and friends.
